Respond to Teammate Pings Quickly

Understanding Ping Types and Their Meanings

Your teammates will place different ping types to communicate without voice or chat:

  • Normal Ping: Points out a location of interest — a resource, landmark, or meeting spot
  • Warning Ping: Signals danger — enemies, hazards, or areas to avoid
  • Move Ping: Indicates where the team should head next

Acting on Pings

When you see a ping appear, check its type and location. Pings display the distance to the marked spot, helping you navigate. If it's a Move Ping, start heading in that direction. If it's a Warning Ping, avoid that area or prepare for combat. Normal Pings are informational — use them to decide your next action.

You can also see pings on Xaero's Minimap and World Map if you have those mods installed, giving you multiple ways to track your team's signals. If a ping's sound alert is distracting, you can adjust or disable alert sounds in settings.
