Place a Ping on the World Map

Using Xaero's Map Integration

If you have Xaero's World Map installed, you can place signals directly from the map view without needing line-of-sight to the target location:

1. Open Xaero's World Map (default key varies by setup)

2. Navigate to the location where you want to place a ping

3. Middle-click on the map at your desired coordinates

4. A ping will appear at that exact spot in your world

Advantages of Map Pings

This method is useful for marking distant locations, rally points, or hazards you've already explored but can't currently see. You can place multiple pings across the map to create a route for your team to follow. The ping will display on both the world map and in-world, and your party members will see it if you're in a shared party.

Map pings follow the same customization rules as regular pings — they'll use whatever color and size you've set in your preferences.
