Enable Water and Reflection Effects

Locate Water Settings

Open the VanillaExtra Shaders configuration menu from your video settings. Navigate to the effects or water section.

Toggle Water Features

Enable water-related shader effects, which may include:

  • Water surface reflections
  • Wave animations
  • Water transparency enhancements
  • Caustic patterns (light ripples underwater)

These effects are designed to be lightweight, so enabling them shouldn't significantly impact performance on low-end systems.

Adjust Reflection Quality

If available, you can control reflection intensity or resolution. Higher settings create more realistic reflections but use more resources. Start with medium settings and adjust based on your frame rate.

Test in Water

Visit oceans, rivers, or lakes to see the effects in action. Check how reflections look at different times of day and from various angles. Water should appear more dynamic and visually interesting while maintaining smooth gameplay.

Fine-Tune as Needed

If frame rates drop noticeably, reduce reflection quality or disable specific water effects while keeping others enabled.
