Identifying Block Changes When Building

What's Different in Building Blocks

VanillaEnhanced updates all functional and decorative blocks. When building, you'll notice:

  • Wood: Logs and planks have cleaner grain patterns and richer color variation
  • Stone Variants: Stone, deepslate, and ores all have sharper detail and better visual hierarchy
  • Glass: Cleaner, more refined appearance while remaining transparent
  • Wool: Each color is more vibrant with improved texture depth
  • Functional Blocks: Furnaces, chests, crafting tables, and other utility blocks have redesigned surfaces

Testing Combinations

Build a small test structure using blocks you plan to use. The enhanced textures reveal:

  • Better color differentiation between similar blocks
  • Improved depth perception when stacking blocks
  • More natural-looking wood grain alignment on logs

Place blocks at different angles and distances to see how the 32×32 textures hold detail. This helps you plan builds that look cohesive with the new visual style while maintaining the classic blocky aesthetic.
