How to Enter Spectator Mode and Use Spectator Actions in Vanilla Refresh

Vanilla Refresh extends spectator mode with its own actions, which is useful for inspecting builds, filming, or moderating a server without leaving your position.

Switching to Spectator

Use the pack's spectator entry rather than the vanilla command if you want the extra actions to be available. Once you are in spectator, you fly through blocks and cannot interact with the world normally, which is exactly what you want for scouting.

Performing Spectator Actions

While spectating, the pack exposes additional actions through its menu and commands. These let you do things like reposition yourself precisely or act on the world without dropping back into survival or creative first. Open /trigger vr.settings to see which spectator-related entries are currently enabled, since each one can be toggled independently.

Returning to Normal

Leave spectator the same way you entered it. If you toggled spectator actions off and later want them back, re-enable them in the settings menu; the change applies immediately without a reload.

Practical Uses

Spectator actions are handy for checking redstone from inside a machine, verifying that a mob farm's interior is lit correctly, or reviewing a build from angles you cannot reach while solid. Pair it with the teleport wand in creative for fast movement between inspection points.
