Choose the Right Paxel Material for Your Situation
Material Progression
Craft paxels from different materials as you progress:
- Wood: Easiest to craft early-game; low durability
- Stone: Better durability; good for early mining
- Iron: Significant durability increase; mines most ores
- Diamond: High durability and mining speed; handles all vanilla blocks
- Netherite: Best durability and speed; won't burn in lava
Matching Your Task
For general gathering: Iron or Diamond paxels handle most tasks efficiently without overkill.
For mining deep: Use Diamond or Netherite to access all ore types quickly.
For early-game speed: Jump to Stone paxels as soon as possible—they're worth the small material investment.
For lava mining: Only Netherite paxels are lava-safe, making them essential for Nether exploration.
Durability Considerations
Since paxels combine three tools into one, they consume durability faster than individual tools would. Higher-tier materials last longer per use, making Diamond and Netherite better long-term investments despite higher crafting costs.
