Getting Started with Degus

The Vanilla Degus Mod is a small, single-purpose mod that adds tame degu rodents to Minecraft. It does this through one item: the Degu Spawn Egg.

To bring a degu into your world, use the Degu Spawn Egg on a block. The degu that appears is already tamed, so it will not run from you the way a wild animal might. Because it spawns tamed, you can keep it as a pet right away without any taming steps.

The mod adds no other items, blocks, or mechanics. Its content is limited to the spawn egg and the degu mob itself, so there are no recipes or crafting chains to learn. If you want a degu companion, the spawn egg is the only tool you need.
