Creating Your First Challenge

Daily challenges are the core of this plugin. To create one, you'll need to add a configuration file in the correct plugin folder with your challenge details.

Steps to Configure

1. Navigate to the Vanilla Challenges Plugin configuration directory on your server

2. Create a new file following the plugin's file format (typically YAML or JSON)

3. Define your challenge parameters:

• Challenge name and description
• Objective (e.g., "Mine 100 diamonds" or "Defeat 50 mobs")
• Points awarded for completion
• Any specific conditions or requirements

4. Set the start time and duration for when the challenge runs

5. Save the file in the designated challenges folder

6. Use /vc reload to load your new challenge into the server

7. Announce the challenge to players using /vc challenge to view it

Tips

You can create infinite challenges by adding multiple files. Consider rotating challenges daily to keep gameplay fresh and maintain player engagement. Use broadcast messages in the config to notify players when challenges start or end.
