Set Up Your First Soldier Army
Crafting and Spawning Soldiers
Start by crafting Clay Soldier Dolls using the recipe found in your Clay Lexicon. Place a doll on any solid block to spawn a tiny soldier. The soldier will appear in a default color.
Creating Opposing Teams
To build multiple armies, spawn soldiers in different colors. Each color represents a separate team—soldiers will only follow orders from and cooperate with teammates of the same color. Spawn enough soldiers to form a meaningful squad; start with at least 4–6 per side for basic combat.
Equipping Your Army
Drop weapons, armor, and tools on the ground near your soldiers. They will automatically pick up compatible gear and equip it. You can drop:
- Swords and axes for melee combat
- Bows and arrows for ranged attacks
- Helmets, chestplates, leggings, and boots for protection
- Shields for defense
Soldiers will prioritize better gear over weaker items, so upgrade their equipment by dropping improved versions nearby.
Mounting Your Troops
Once soldiers are equipped, you can mount them on available creatures: horses, pegasi, turtles, bunnies, and geckos. Mounted soldiers move faster and gain combat advantages. Experiment with different mount types to find what works best for your strategy.
