Explore Deep Underground to Find Hidden Chambers

Preparing for Deep Exploration

Before heading underground, gather essential supplies: a pickaxe (iron or better), torches, food, and a bed. Bring a water bucket for fall damage and lava navigation. Consider bringing blocks to mark your path back to the surface.

Searching for Structures

Hidden structures spawn at various depths throughout the Overworld. Dig down to Y-level 0 and below, or explore existing cave systems. Look for:

• Unusual wall patterns or suspicious blocks that seem out of place
• Glowing blocks or light sources in solid stone
• Changes in block types (amethyst, bone blocks, or decorative stone)

Structures often hide behind netherrack walls or within natural cave formations, so break through suspicious barriers.

Identifying Loot Areas

Once you find a chamber, watch for:

• Amethyst clusters and pools
• Chest placements
• Monster spawners in sealed rooms
• Decorated areas with lanterns or themed blocks

Bring a pickaxe with Silk Touch if you want to collect amethyst clusters intact. Be cautious in sealed monster rooms—they may contain hostile mobs.
