Improve Your Blocking and Dodging Technique

Understanding Block Mechanics

Blocking is your primary defense tool. Hold right-click with your sword equipped to raise your guard. While blocking, you take reduced damage from incoming attacks. However, blocking drains your durability, so you can't block indefinitely. Practice timing your blocks to activate them just as an opponent's attack connects.

Practicing Dodge Movements

Dodging involves moving out of the way rather than blocking. Use the arena's terrain to your advantage—strafe side to side to avoid sword swings, and back up when an opponent charges. Sprint to create distance quickly. Jump to evade low attacks, though this leaves you vulnerable in mid-air.

Training Routine

Start by fighting a single opponent and focus solely on defense. Don't attack back—just practice blocking and dodging their strikes. Once you're comfortable, gradually add counterattacks. Attack immediately after they miss, when they're vulnerable. Alternate between blocking and dodging to learn which works best against different attack patterns. This dedicated practice space lets you refine these fundamentals without losing your gear.
