Configuring Grave Timers, Protection, and PvP Behaviour

The mod ships with a configuration file that controls how graves behave. Edit it before generating a world if you want the changes to apply cleanly, or restart the game/server after editing.

Timers and protection

Open the config and look for the entries governing grave lifetime and the protection window. Shorten the protection time if you play alone and want graves lootable immediately, or lengthen it on a server where players need time to travel back. Set the decay time generously if your world has long distances between bases and death sites — or very short if you want death to carry real risk.

PvP handling

There is an option to change how graves behave when a player is killed by another player. Depending on how you set it, graves can be skipped entirely for PvP kills, so the killer can take the drops directly, or graves can still spawn as normal. Choose based on whether your server treats PvP deaths as a full loot drop.

Appearance and messages

Separate config entries control the hologram above the grave — what information it shows and how it looks — as well as the chat message sent on death. You can adjust these to change how much detail other players see, such as hiding the contents list from anyone but the owner.

After editing, reload or restart so the new values take effect.
