Unique Dark Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does the Unique Dark Resource Pack actually change?
It retextures the interfaces for the inventory, crafting table, furnace, chest, enchanting table, anvil, shulker box, recipe book, hotbar, and buttons with a dark, minimalist theme. It only touches UI textures, so gameplay and item behavior stay the same.
How do I turn the dark UI on after installing it?
Open Options, go to Resource Packs, and move Unique Dark from the left column to the right column so it sits above the default pack. Then click Done and the dark textures apply immediately.
Why is my inventory still bright after I enabled the pack?
Another resource pack is likely sitting above Unique Dark and overriding the same GUI textures. Drag Unique Dark to the top of the selected list, or remove the conflicting pack, then confirm with Done.
The pack doesn't appear in my resource pack list at all — what's wrong?
Make sure the pack is in the correct resourcepacks folder for your Minecraft instance and that the file is the pack itself, not a nested folder or archive inside another archive. Restart the game after placing it so the list refreshes.
Can I use Unique Dark together with other resource packs?
Yes, but order matters. Put Unique Dark above packs that also edit GUI or inventory textures, and below packs whose non-UI textures you want to keep, since higher packs win for any overlapping file.
Which pack wins if two packs change the same texture?
The pack placed higher in the selected list overrides the one below it for any file they both contain. So position Unique Dark according to whether you want its dark UI or the other pack's version to show.
Does Unique Dark affect performance or FPS?
No, it only swaps flat GUI textures, so it has no meaningful impact on frame rate. Any lag you see is coming from something else, like shaders, mods, or render distance.
Will this pack change my world, blocks, or mobs?
No. It's a UI-only pack, so terrain, blocks, items, and entities keep their normal appearance. If those look different, another pack in your list is responsible.
How do I make the dark UI easier to read at night?
Turn your GUI scale up in Video Settings so text and slots are larger, and lower your brightness if the dark panels blend into the world. Keeping Unique Dark at the top of the pack list also ensures no brighter pack washes it out.
How do I go back to the normal bright interface?
Open Resource Packs and move Unique Dark back to the left column, or click the default pack to restore vanilla textures. Click Done and the standard light UI returns.
