What UnionLib Does and How to Use It

Understanding UnionLib

UnionLib is a library mod, which means it does not add its own gameplay content like blocks, items, or mobs. Instead, it exists to support other mods — specifically the mods made by Stereowalker. If you install one of those mods, UnionLib is likely required for it to function, so you should install UnionLib alongside it rather than on its own.

What It Provides

Beyond acting as a dependency, UnionLib offers two things useful to mod developers. First, it includes a configuration system that other mods can use to manage their settings. Second, it adds a range of additional Forge events, giving modders more hooks to work with when building their content.

For Regular Players

As a player, you generally do not need to interact with UnionLib directly. There is no in-game menu or item to use. Simply keep it installed when a mod requires it, and let it run in the background. Removing it while a dependent mod is present will cause that mod to fail to load.
