How to Run UniMixins Alongside Another 1.7.10 Mixin Loader
Why Coexistence Is Possible
Most 1.7.10 mixin loaders are monolithic: each bundles mixin plus its own extras, so two of them overlap and crash. UniMixins splits those extras into independent modules, so you can keep your existing loader for the core mixin work and add only the specific extras you want from UniMixins.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Keep your current mixin loader installed as-is.
2. Do not add the UniMixins combined jar. Adding it will overlap with your existing loader.
3. Identify which extra features you actually need (for example, compatibility hooks for a specific mod, or late mixin application).
4. Download only those individual UniMixins module jars and place them in your mods folder.
5. Launch the game and watch the log.
Reading the Log
A healthy launch shows both loaders initializing without complaining about each other. If you see an error about a service already being provided, you picked a module that duplicates something your existing loader already does. Remove that one module and relaunch.
When to Switch Entirely
If you find yourself adding most UniMixins modules anyway, it is simpler to remove the other loader and use the UniMixins combined jar alone. Fewer moving parts means fewer overlap errors to debug later.
