UniLib Mod
What UniLib Does
UniLib is a library mod, meaning it doesn't add gameplay content on its own. Instead, it gives other mods a shared foundation so they can run correctly across a wide range of Minecraft versions, from early Alpha builds up to current releases. If you install a mod that depends on UniLib, this library must be present for that mod to function.
Features for Mod Developers
UniLib bundles several helper tools that mod authors use instead of writing version-specific code themselves. These include utilities for rendering and building user interfaces, an update checker that lets mods notify users of newer releases, and translation helpers that simplify supporting multiple languages. It also integrates with the UniCore project for broader modding support.
For Players
As a player, you generally don't interact with UniLib directly. You simply keep it installed alongside any mods that require it. Because it was originally developed as part of CraftPresence and is now used by many mods, having it present helps those mods stay compatible and current without extra setup on your end.
