How to Trade With Villagers in Stoneholm
Stoneholm villages contain villagers you can trade with, but because they live underground, you need to handle them a little differently than surface villagers.
Finding and Protecting Traders
- Explore the village until you find rooms with villagers and workstations such as lecterns, composters, or smithing tables.
- Do not break their workstations; each one determines the trades that villager offers.
- Wall off the villager area from open cave tunnels so zombies cannot reach them at night.
- Light the surrounding halls thoroughly to prevent hostile mobs from spawning near your traders.
Getting Good Trades
Place or replace a workstation next to a villager to reroll its profession, then check the offered trades. If you want a specific enchantment book or tool, keep cycling the workstation until the trade appears. Trade frequently to level villagers up, which unlocks better offers. Keep emeralds on hand by selling them farm produce or spare items. If a villager gets separated from the village, gently guide it back with blocks or lure it with a job site block rather than pushing it into danger.
