Reveal Hidden Item Stats

Every item in Minecraft has underlying base stats that affect performance. The mod displays these values directly on item tooltips, but only when you actively inspect them.

Using the Inspect Key

Hold down your assigned inspect key (default is Left Alt) while hovering over any item in your inventory, on the ground, or in a container. The tooltip will expand to show hidden properties like damage values, durability thresholds, and other mechanical details normally invisible to players.

Customizing Your Inspect Key

If Left Alt conflicts with another control, rebind it through the game menu: go to Options → Controls → Key Binds, then search for the inspect function and assign a new key.

Practical Applications

Use this feature when comparing tools before crafting, evaluating equipment durability before long expeditions, or understanding why certain items perform differently than expected. Base stats reveal the true mechanical value of every item you handle.
