Using UI Lib Mod for Custom Interfaces

Building UIs with UI Lib

UI Lib Mod is a library for mod developers, not a content mod you play with directly. It supplies ready-made interface components so you can assemble in-game screens without writing rendering code from scratch.

Available components include:

  • Buttons (Nine Sliced): interactive buttons whose textures stretch cleanly to any size.
  • Text: normal, multi-line, scrolling, and truncated types, with adjustable fonts, colors, and sizes.
  • Texture: normal and nine-sliced, for backgrounds and decorative elements.
  • Item: undecorated and decorated, for displaying items inside your UI.

Because it is a library, you add it as a dependency and call its components from your own mod. Nothing appears in-game on its own; the screens you build with it do. If you are not writing a mod, this library will not change your gameplay.
