Set Up a Roleplay Server with Friends in the Castle
Prepare the Castle for Multiplayer
Before inviting friends, establish clear roleplay zones and rules. Designate the throne room as the royal court, guard towers for sentries, and bedrooms for player housing. Use name tags or signs to mark important locations.
Assign Roles and Boundaries
Decide who will play as royalty, guards, servants, or visitors. Set boundaries for restricted areas—perhaps the castle vault or private royal chambers. Create a meeting point near the main courtyard where players spawn and gather.
Establish Building Rules
Decide whether players can modify the castle interior or if building is restricted to the outdoor areas beyond the walls. If allowing modifications, designate specific rooms or wings for player customization. This prevents accidental griefing of the main castle aesthetic.
Create a Town Outside the Walls
Use the open land surrounding the fortress to build a marketplace, tavern, or residential district. This gives players freedom to expand the kingdom while keeping the castle itself intact. Assign plots or zones to different players for their personal builds.
Start Small Sessions
Begin with 2–4 players to test your roleplay setup. Adjust rules and locations based on what works, then scale up to larger groups once the structure feels natural.
