Design and Build a Custom Town Outside the Castle Walls
Choose Your Building Location
Select an area outside the castle walls with enough flat or gently sloped terrain. Stay far enough from the fortress to avoid cluttering the royal view, but close enough that it feels connected to the kingdom. Clear trees and level ground as needed.
Plan Your Town Layout
Decide what buildings your town needs: a marketplace, tavern, inn, blacksmith, houses, or farms. Sketch a rough layout with roads connecting each building. Leave space for future expansion and community gathering areas like a town square.
Build Core Structures First
Start with essential buildings—a marketplace or town hall works well as a centerpiece. Use materials that complement the castle's fantasy aesthetic. Build roads or pathways connecting buildings so players can navigate easily.
Add Residential Plots
Create individual building plots for friends to claim and build their own houses. Mark plots with signs or fences so ownership is clear. This encourages participation and gives players creative freedom within the town.
Decorate and Refine
Add details like lampposts, benches, gardens, and banners to bring the town to life. Create a town entrance gate that mirrors the castle's grandeur. Gradually expand as players build more structures and the community grows.
