Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware
Reduce Quality Settings
TrueLightFX Lite is designed to be lightweight, but you can squeeze out more performance. In Shader Options, look for toggles related to shadow quality, reflection detail, or ambient occlusion. Disabling or lowering these will free up GPU resources.
Lower Render Distance
While not a shader setting, reducing your render distance in Video Settings works hand-in-hand with shaders. Start at 8-12 chunks and increase only if your frame rate stays stable.
Disable Unnecessary Effects
Turn off any optional visual enhancements like bloom, lens flare, or water reflections if frame rate drops occur. These are often separate toggles in the Shader Options menu.
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen (Java Edition) to watch your FPS. If it dips below your target, disable one effect at a time and retest. This helps identify which settings impact your specific hardware most.
Use Appropriate Render Scale
If available, lower the internal render resolution slightly to maintain smooth gameplay without sacrificing too much visual quality.
