Customize How Sunlight Looks Throughout the Day
Open Daytime Lighting Options
Access the shader settings and find controls for sunlight, sun color, or time-of-day lighting adjustments.
Adjust Sun Brightness
Increase or decrease how intense direct sunlight appears. Higher values create stronger, more dramatic shadows; lower values feel softer and more diffuse.
Control Sun Color Temperature
Many shader packs let you adjust whether sunlight appears warm (orange/yellow) or cool (white/blue). Warmer light mimics morning and evening, while cooler light feels like midday.
Modify Shadow Darkness
Adjust how dark shadows become under bright sunlight. Darker shadows create contrast and drama, while lighter shadows feel more natural and less harsh.
Fine-Tune Ambient Light During Day
Control fill light that illuminates shadowed areas. Higher ambient light reduces harsh contrasts; lower ambient light creates deeper, more realistic shadows.
Observe Different Times
Progress through a full day cycle or use time commands to see how your settings affect sunrise, noon, and sunset. Adjust until the lighting matches your preferred aesthetic.
