Fighting the Overhauled Ender Dragon

The True Ending mod turns the Ender Dragon into a longer, multi-phase battle. Its health is raised from 200 to 300 HP, so expect the fight to last considerably longer than vanilla. The dragon now cycles through multiple phases and uses new attacks, so don't rely on the old strategy of hiding behind a pillar and chipping away at it.

Damage from the dragon scales with your world's difficulty. On Hard, its hits hurt more; on Easy, they hurt less. If you want a real challenge, set the world to Hard before entering the End. If you just want to see the new fight, Easy softens the incoming damage.

Boss music now plays for every player at the center island during the fight, and dragon breath lingers longer, so watch where you stand. Elegant particle animations accompany the new attacks. Bring strong gear, keep moving, and treat each phase as its own encounter.
