Trimming Tools at the Smithing Table

Minecraft 1.20 added armor trimming, and the Trimmable Tools Mod extends that same idea to your tools and weapons. Instead of being limited to armor, you can now apply trim designs to the gear you actually use.

To trim a tool, open a Smithing Table. The mod keeps the standard three-slot setup, so you provide a smithing template, the tool you want to trim, and a trim material. The template decides the pattern, the material decides the color, and the tool is the item being customized.

The mod simplifies the process so it works the same way armor trimming does. Once applied, the trim gives your tool a more detailed appearance while keeping it the same tool you already had. This lets you match your weapons and tools to your trimmed armor for a consistent look.
