Fell a Tree Efficiently Without Wasting Durability

Identify a Full Tree

Before swinging your axe, make sure you're targeting a complete tree. The mod only fells trees that are fully grown—saplings, partial trees, or trees with missing sections won't trigger the full-tree chop. Look for trees with a continuous trunk from ground to canopy.

Swing Once at the Trunk

Approach the tree and swing your axe at any log in the trunk. All connected logs will instantly drop as items. The axe loses durability based on the total number of logs felled, so larger trees cost more durability than smaller ones.

Collect the Drops

All logs and leaves drop instantly—no waiting for animations. Walk through the drop zone to collect them, or use hoppers and collection systems if you're automating a tree farm.

Plan Your Durability

Keep track of your axe durability when working in forests. A single swing can fell dozens of logs, so even a moderately durable axe can handle multiple trees. Repair or replace your axe before it breaks to avoid losing efficiency.
