How to Change Sodium's Language to Your Native Language

Why Sodium Still Shows English

Sodium's own settings screen is drawn by the mod itself, not by Minecraft's vanilla language files. That means even if you set Minecraft to another language, Sodium's options can stay in English until a resource pack supplies translated strings for the mod's internal text keys. The Translations for Sodium pack fills exactly that gap.

Applying the Pack

1. Open Minecraft and go to Options → Resource Packs.

2. Find *Translations for Sodium* in the left column (available packs) and move it to the right column (selected packs).

3. Make sure it sits above any other pack that also touches Sodium's language files, so its strings win.

4. Click Done. Minecraft reloads resources automatically.

5. Open Sodium's video settings from Options → Video Settings. The labels, tooltips, and section headers should now appear in your language.

If Nothing Changes

  • Confirm your Minecraft language is set to the language the pack supports. The pack only translates into languages it actually ships; if your locale is not included, Sodium stays in English.
  • Check load order again. A pack placed below another Sodium-language pack will be overridden.
  • Toggle the pack off and on to force a resource reload if the screen looks stale.

Once applied, every Sodium submenu — quality, performance, and advanced tabs — should read in your chosen language.
