Fixing Untranslated or Missing Text in Sodium's Settings

Spotting the Problem

After installing the translation pack you may still see a few English words: a stray tooltip, a button label, or an entire tab. This usually means the pack does not cover every string in your version of Sodium, or another pack is overriding it.

Step-by-Step Checks

1. Verify load order. Open Options → Resource Packs. The Translations for Sodium pack must be in the right-hand *Selected* list and positioned above any other pack that modifies Sodium's language files.

2. Confirm the language. Go to Options → Language and make sure the active language matches one the pack supports. Switching to a different locale and back forces a reload.

3. Reload resources. Press F3 + T in-game to reload resource packs without restarting. Reopen Sodium's settings and re-check the affected screen.

4. Isolate conflicts. Temporarily disable all other resource packs except this one. If the missing text appears, another pack was overriding it — re-enable packs one at a time to find the culprit.

5. Check the specific screen. Some strings live in submenus (for example, advanced or performance tabs). Navigate each tab rather than judging from the main page.

When Text Is Genuinely Absent

If a string stays English no matter what, the pack simply has not translated that key yet. That is expected for newly added Sodium options. You can report it to the pack's issue tracker so it gets covered in a future update.
