Combining the Sodium Translation Pack With Other Resource Packs
Why Order Matters
Resource packs stack. When two packs define the same language key, the one higher in the list wins. Since the Translations for Sodium pack only touches Sodium's own strings, it rarely conflicts with texture packs — but it can clash with other mod-translation packs that also patch Sodium.
Setting a Safe Load Order
1. Open Options → Resource Packs.
2. In the *Selected* column, drag *Translations for Sodium* so it sits above any general-purpose translation pack and below pure texture packs if you prefer textures to take priority (textures and language files do not overlap, so either position works for textures).
3. Put it above any other pack that also translates Sodium, so its strings are the ones used.
4. Click Done to reload.
Testing the Result
- Open Sodium's video settings and scan a few tabs. Labels should be in your language.
- If a texture pack changes GUI fonts or backgrounds, confirm Sodium's text is still readable — some font packs alter glyphs and can make translated characters look odd.
- If you use a modpack launcher that manages packs, keep this pack enabled in the pack's resource list rather than adding it per-world, so it applies everywhere.
Quick Troubleshooting
If Sodium reverts to English after adding a new pack, that new pack is likely overriding the language file. Move the translation pack back above it and reload with F3 + T.
