Why Creative Mode Players Never Trample Crops

If you build in creative mode, you have probably noticed that you can hop across farmland without destroying it. That is not a coincidence — the mod explicitly disables trampling for players in creative mode, regardless of what they are wearing.

How the Check Works

When you land on a farmland block, the mod asks two questions: is this player in creative mode, and are they wearing boots? If the answer to either is yes, the farmland is left alone. Survival players without boots are the only ones who can still trample.

Using This While Building

1. Switch to creative mode before you start landscaping around farms.

2. Walk, jump, and sprint across crop rows freely — the soil will not revert to dirt.

3. Use this to place water, hoppers, or decorative blocks directly on farmland without repairing it afterward.

4. When you switch back to survival, remember the protection now depends on your boots again.

5. If you are testing a farm design in creative and it works, the same layout will work in survival as long as you keep boots on.

This makes creative mode the ideal place to prototype irrigation and crop layouts, since you never have to worry about accidentally ruining the ground you just placed.
