Connect Rail Networks Across Chunk Boundaries
Understanding Chunk-Based Connections
Tracks only connect to other tracks when both pieces exist in loaded chunks. This means your rail network grows as you load new terrain, rather than trying to connect everything at once.
Connecting Networks Safely
1. Build to the chunk edge: Lay tracks up to the boundary of your currently loaded area.
2. Move forward: Walk into the next chunk to load it.
3. Continue building: Place new tracks—they'll automatically connect to the previous section.
4. Verify connections: Ride a minecart through the junction to confirm the link is solid.
Bridging Gaps
If you need to connect two separate rail systems:
- Walk the path between them to load all intermediate chunks.
- Build a connecting track segment through the loaded area.
- The mod ensures all pieces link properly without lag.
Multiple Routes
You can build branching networks and junctions safely. Each connection happens only when both track pieces are loaded, keeping performance stable even with complex rail layouts.
