How to Change the TPS HUD's Colors, Size, and Text Style
Finding the Appearance Options
Open the TPS HUD Mod's configuration screen from your mod list. Inside you will typically find a section for appearance or display settings. The exact labels vary, but look for controls covering text color, background color or transparency, scale/size, and whether the readout shows a label like "TPS" next to the number or just the value.
Adjusting Each Setting
- Color: Use the color picker or RGB sliders to set the text color. Pick something that contrasts with your background — white or bright green reads well against dark terrain, while a dark color works if you play with a light sky.
- Background: If a background box is available, either give it a slight transparency so it does not block your view, or turn it off entirely for a clean floating number.
- Scale: Increase the size if you play on a high-resolution monitor and the text is tiny; decrease it if the readout feels intrusive.
- Format: Choose whether to show decimals, a percentage, or a plain number. A whole-number display is easier to read at a glance.
Applying and Testing
Save or confirm your changes and return to the game. Watch the HUD update live — if a color is hard to read against the sky or against caves, reopen the config and tweak it. Many players keep two presets in mind: a bright style for daytime surface play and a subtler one for dark environments.
