How to Get and Use the Paraglider from Tower Chests

Getting the Paraglider

Every tower chest contains a paraglider. This is the reliable way to obtain one, since the mod guarantees it in each tower's top chest. Climb to the top of any tower, open the chest, and take the paraglider along with the other loot.

Using the Paraglider

Hold the paraglider in your hand (main hand or offhand, depending on your setup) and jump from a height. While falling, activate the paraglider to slow your descent and glide. You can steer while gliding, letting you cross gaps, descend safely from towers, or travel short distances without elytra.

Key points:

• The paraglider slows fall speed rather than giving powered flight.
• You can deploy it mid-fall to avoid fall damage.
• Steering lets you aim for a safe landing spot.

Why It Matters

In modpacks that disable or limit elytra, the paraglider becomes your main mobility tool. Combined with the waystone network, you can climb a tower, glide down to explore, then waystone back. Always carry a paraglider when exploring modded dimensions like the Aether or Ad Astra planets, where falling from height is common. If you lose yours, simply loot another tower chest to get a replacement.
