How to Find and Loot a Tower of the Wild

Locating Towers

Towers of the Wild generate in the Overworld, Nether, End, and several modded dimensions (Ad Astra planets, Blue Skies, Twilight Forest, Ratlantis, Aether). In the Overworld they tend to appear in open terrain, so scanning the horizon from a high vantage point or flying with an elytra helps you spot the tall silhouette. In modded dimensions, generation depends on the dimension's terrain — check flat or plains-like biomes first, since towers need room to spawn.

Climbing and Looting

Once you reach a tower, look for the internal or external climbing route. Many towers use a spiral of blocks, ladders, or a scaffold-like path rather than stairs, so bring blocks to bridge gaps if the route is broken. At the top you will find two key things:

  • A waystone (the beacon block used for fast travel)
  • A chest containing a paraglider every time, plus assorted loot

Open the chest first and take the paraglider — it is guaranteed. Then interact with the waystone to register it as a travel point. If you plan to return, note the coordinates. Towers are safe to loot in most dimensions, but Nether and End towers can have hostile mobs nearby, so clear the area before climbing.
