Towers of the Wild Modded Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I find my first Tower of the Wild?
Towers generate as tall structures in most dimensions the mod supports, so explore the surface and watch for a tall tower silhouette on the horizon. In the Overworld they spawn in a range of biomes, and they also generate in the Nether, End, Twilight Forest, Aether, Blue Skies, Ratlantis, and Ad Astra planets.
What's at the top of a Tower of the Wild?
Every tower has a waystone and a chest at the top. The chest always contains a paraglider plus additional loot, so it's worth climbing every tower you find.
How do I climb the tower without falling?
Towers are tall, so bring blocks, a grappling hook, or another climbing method to scale the outside, or look for an internal route if the tower has one. Once you have a paraglider from a previous tower, you can also glide down safely instead of climbing down.
How does the waystone at the top of the tower work?
The waystone acts as a fast-travel beacon between towers. Activate it at the top of a tower, then use another activated waystone to teleport between the two, which is useful in modpacks where elytra flight is disabled.
Do I need to activate a waystone before I can teleport to it?
Yes, you generally need to visit and activate a waystone before it becomes a valid travel destination. So the first time you find a tower, activate its waystone so you can return to it later.
Where do I get a paraglider?
The paraglider is found in the chest at the top of every Tower of the Wild, alongside other loot. You don't craft it — you loot it from a tower chest.
How do I use the paraglider?
Hold the paraglider and jump off a high place to deploy it and glide. It lets you descend safely from tower tops and cross gaps without taking fall damage.
Do towers spawn in the Nether, End, Twilight Forest, Aether, and Ad Astra planets?
Yes, the mod adds towers for the Overworld, Nether, End, Twilight Forest, Aether, Blue Skies dimensions, Ratlantis, and Ad Astra planets. Each dimension's towers use that dimension's blocks and hazards, so prepare accordingly.
Why can't I find any towers in my modded dimension?
Tower generation depends on the dimension being supported by the mod and on your world's structure generation settings. If a dimension isn't in the supported list, or structure generation is disabled or heavily modified by another mod or datapack, towers won't appear there.
Will this mod conflict with other structure or waystone mods?
It can coexist with other structure mods, but if another mod also adds waystones or overhauls world generation, you may see overlapping structures or competing travel systems. If towers aren't generating or waystones behave oddly, check for structure and waystone mods that might be overriding them.
