Trigger the Party Popper Effect When You Nearly Die

How the Totem Activation Works

The party popper effect activates automatically whenever a Totem of Undying saves you from death. You don't need to do anything special—simply have the totem in your hand or offhand slot when you take fatal damage.

Steps to Trigger the Effect

1. Equip your Totem of Undying in either your main hand or offhand slot

2. Take damage that would kill you from any source: fall damage, mob attacks, fire, drowning, or explosions

3. Watch the party popper animation as colorful particles burst outward from your character

4. The totem will consume itself and grant you temporary effects like Regeneration and Absorption to help you survive

Tips for Survival

• Keep your totem in your offhand so you can still fight while protected
• The effect works even if you're not actively holding the totem—having it equipped is enough
• The particle effects are purely visual and don't affect gameplay mechanics
• Always carry a spare totem after one activates, as it will be consumed
