How to Place a Torch or Lantern on a Slab in Torch Slabs Mod

The Basic Placement

Torch Slabs Mod lets you put a torch or lantern directly onto a half slab block instead of only on full blocks. To do this, hold the torch or lantern in your hand and look at the top face of the slab you want to decorate. Right-click the slab while aiming at its top surface. The torch or lantern will snap onto the slab and sit at the correct height rather than floating.

If the placement fails, you are probably aiming at the side of the slab or at a neighboring block. Move your crosshair so it rests clearly on the flat top of the slab, then right-click again.

Slabs From Other Mods

The mod is built to work with custom slabs added by other mods, not just vanilla ones. Any half slab block that behaves like a normal slab should accept a torch or lantern the same way. If a particular modded slab refuses placement, check that the block is actually a half slab and not a full block or stair, since only half slabs are supported.

Removing and Replacing

Break the torch or lantern the same way you would break a normal one. The slab underneath stays intact, so you can swap decorations freely without rebuilding your floor or wall.
