Configuring Tooltip Overhaul Mod
Adjusting Tooltips In-Game
Tooltip Overhaul Mod is built around customization, and most of its options can be changed without leaving the game. Open the mod's settings screen to toggle features on or off and see the results immediately.
Key things you can control:
- Scrolling and wrapping – decide how tall tooltips behave when they exceed the screen, and how text wraps so tooltips don't stretch too wide.
- Equipment comparison – toggle whether hovering an item shows a comparison against your currently equipped gear.
- Visual style – enable or disable animated borders, rarity indicators, decorative frames, gradients, and other flair.
- 3D item rendering – turn the hovering 3D icon on or off.
- Layout – crop, expand, move, and style tooltips to suit your preferences.
Because changes apply live, you can experiment freely and revert anything that doesn't suit your setup. Modpack creators can go further by defining custom frames and styles through resource packs, letting a pack ship its own tooltip look.
