Toolbar Sounds Mod Guide

How Toolbar Sounds Works

The Toolbar Sounds Mod adds short audio effects to your hotbar. Whenever you switch between items, the mod plays a sound based on the category of the item you are now holding. It does not change gameplay, items, or recipes — it is purely an audio feedback mod.

Sounds are grouped by item type. Blunt weapons such as wooden and stone swords play one noise, while sharp metal swords play a different one. Bows and crossbows fall under ranged weapons. Axes, hoes, pickaxes, and shovels are treated as tools. Shields are defensive items, and potions are magic items. Each group has its own distinct effect.

The mod works in singleplayer and multiplayer, so you can use it alone or on a server.

If you want to remove the mod's data from a world, run the command /function toolbar_sounds:uninstall. This clears the schedules and scoreboards the mod created. Use it before removing the mod if you want a clean world.
