How to Dump Your Hotbar or Inventory Item Data with /tk
Copying the whole hotbar
Fill your hotbar with the items you want to record, then run /tk hotbar. The command copies the registry name and NBT of every item or block in your hotbar to the clipboard in one go. Paste it into a text editor to get a clean list you can turn into a kit, a shop config, or a set of /give commands.
Copying the full inventory
If you need more than the hotbar, run /tk inventory. This copies the registry name and NBT of all items and blocks in your inventory to the clipboard. Use it when you want to snapshot a full loadout, such as everything a player is carrying before a boss fight or a trade.
Practical tips
- Clear out junk first. Every slot you leave filled adds noise to the output, so empty anything you do not need before running the command.
- Paste into a plain text editor rather than a rich-text app, so the NBT formatting stays intact.
- Both commands only read what is in your inventory at that moment, so run them again after changing your loadout.
These two commands are the quickest way to move item data out of the game and into whatever system you are building.
