Making Fast Movement Work for Elytra, Vehicles, and Sprint-Jumping
Understand what gets limited
Vanilla servers compare a player's reported position against how far they could plausibly have moved since the last tick. Anything faster than that allowance — sustained elytra dives, minecart or boat speeds boosted by mods, repeated sprint-jumps, or high-speed mounts — can trigger a correction. Too Fast Mod removes that allowance check on the server.
Getting your fast travel working
1. Install Too Fast Mod on the server only and restart.
2. Test each movement type separately so you know which one was actually being limited:
- Elytra: launch from a high point and dive for a sustained period.
- Vehicles: ride a boosted minecart or boat along a long straight track.
- Ground: sprint-jump continuously across open terrain.
3. If one type still rubber-bands while others are fine, the limit is coming from something else — a plugin, an anti-cheat, or a mod that adds its own movement validation.
4. For teleport-based travel (portals, warp commands, modded teleporters), note that large position jumps can also be flagged; the mod helps here too, but a plugin handling the teleport may impose its own rules.
5. Keep the mod server-side only; asking players to install it client-side is unnecessary and won't change server validation.
