Fixing Conflicts Between Too Fast Mod and Random Patches

Why they clash

Too Fast Mod's speed-limit removal comes from Random Patches' speed limit code. If both are present, they patch the same movement validation logic, which can cause crashes on startup, the speed limit silently staying in place, or unpredictable rubber-banding. The two are not meant to run together.

Resolving it

1. Decide which one you need. If your only goal is removing the speed limit, keep Too Fast Mod and remove Random Patches from the server's mods folder.

2. If you rely on Random Patches for other features (like its various client/server tweaks), keep Random Patches and remove Too Fast Mod, then check whether Random Patches' own speed limit option covers your need.

3. After removing one, fully restart the server — do not just reload.

4. Re-test the fast movement that was previously failing. If it now works, the conflict was the cause.

5. If you still see speed-related kicks, look for a third mod or plugin doing movement checks; the conflict may have masked a second source.

Remember this is a server-side decision: players do not install either mod, so you only need to change the server's mod list.
