Troubleshoot Enchantments Not Toggling

Verify the Keybind is Working

First, confirm your keybind is correctly assigned. Open the keybind settings menu and check that the "Open Enchantment Toggle Settings" option has a key assigned to it. Try pressing that key while holding an enchanted item.

Check Item Eligibility

The toggle menu only appears for items that actually have enchantments. Ensure you're holding an enchanted tool, weapon, or armor piece. Items with no enchantments won't open the settings screen.

Verify Enchantment Status

If the menu opens but toggling doesn't seem to work, check the item's tooltip—disabled enchantments should be marked. The enchantment effect may still appear in the tooltip even when toggled off; this is normal. Test the actual game behavior (e.g., mine a block to confirm Silk Touch is truly disabled) rather than relying solely on visual indicators.
