Hide Player Nametags Without Hiding Your Own

Toggle selectively

You can hide other players' nametags while keeping your own visible, useful for PvP or when you want to see your username but reduce visual clutter.

Steps

1. Press the minus (-) key to toggle all player nametags off

2. Press the right bracket (]) key to show only your own nametag

Your username will now display above your head while other players' nametags remain hidden. This combination is particularly helpful in multiplayer servers where you want to maintain situational awareness of your own character without the distraction of dozens of other player names.

Reversing the effect

Press minus (-) again to restore all player nametags, or press right bracket (]) again to hide your own nametag if needed. Each key toggles independently, so you can mix and match visibility states to suit your current activity.
