How to Sync GameStages Across Your Team in Together Forever

GameStages Syncing Basics

If your modpack uses GameStages, Together Forever can share stage unlocks between team members. This is on by default alongside advancement syncing. When one player unlocks a stage, the rest of the team receives it too.

Steps to Use It

1. Form a team first: /tf invite <player_name>, then the other player runs /tf accept <your_name>.

2. Unlock a stage through whatever in-game method your pack provides (quests, items, commands, etc.).

3. The mod detects the unlock and applies the same stage to every teammate.

4. If a teammate was offline, the stage is granted when they next join.

5. Use /tf forcesync if you need to push the current stages to everyone immediately.

When It Does Not Apply

GameStages syncing only matters if GameStages is actually installed and used by your pack. If your pack has no stages, this feature simply does nothing. Like advancement syncing, it can be disabled in the config if you prefer each player to unlock stages independently. Verify team membership with /tf info whenever a stage fails to appear for someone.
