How to Force a Sync or Fix Missing Team Progress in Together Forever
When to Force a Sync
Sometimes a teammate joins and their advancements or stages look wrong, or a sync that should have happened did not. The /tf forcesync command re-pushes the team's shared data to all members right away instead of waiting for the next natural trigger.
Doing It
1. Confirm everyone is actually in the same team with /tf info. If someone is missing, invite them again with /tf invite <player_name> and have them accept.
2. Run /tf forcesync from chat. This applies the current team state to all members, including those who just logged in.
3. Have affected players check their advancement screen or stage list again.
Troubleshooting Checklist
- Make sure the player accepted the invite; a pending invite does nothing until accepted.
- Remember that offline players get synced on join, so a fresh login may already resolve it.
- If only one type of data is missing, check whether that sync type was disabled in the config.
- Use
/tf helpto see the full command list if you forget a syntax. - If a player left and rejoined, they may need a fresh invite, since leaving removes them from the team.
