Troubleshoot Tips Not Appearing

Verify the Config File Format

Open your Tips Mod config file and check that all tips follow the correct format. Syntax errors—like missing quotes, brackets, or commas—can prevent tips from loading. Compare your entries against existing, working tips.

Check for Typos and Special Characters

Ensure tip text doesn't contain characters that break the config format. If you're using special symbols, verify they're properly escaped or formatted according to the mod's requirements.

Reload the Game

Simply saving the config file may not be enough. Fully restart Minecraft to force the mod to reload its configuration. Creating a new world can also help confirm changes are applied.

Verify the File Location

Confirm the config file is in the correct folder (usually config/ in your game directory). If you edited the wrong file, your tips won't appear.

Check Mod Installation

Ensure Tips Mod is properly installed and enabled. If the mod isn't loading, no tips will display. Verify it appears in your mods folder and your launcher recognizes it.
