Show Only Specific Keys on Your Overlay

Filtering Key Display

Access the mod settings and look for options to customize which inputs appear on your overlay. Most keystroke mods allow you to enable or disable categories of inputs rather than individual keys.

Selecting Input Categories

Choose which types of actions to display:

  • Movement keys (WASD or your custom movement binds)
  • Action keys (attack, place, sneak, sprint)
  • Mouse input (clicks and scroll wheel)
  • Hotbar/inventory (number keys)

Disable categories that aren't relevant to your content. For example, speedrunners might focus on movement and clicks, while PvP players might want all combat-related inputs visible.

Fine-Tuning Display

Some mods allow you to hide keys that aren't being pressed, showing only active inputs. This reduces visual clutter and makes the overlay easier to follow. You can also set a display duration—how long a key remains visible after being released.

Applying Changes

Save your configuration and test in-game by pressing various keys. Verify that only your desired inputs appear on the overlay and that the display timing feels right for your viewers.
