How to Prepare for Your First Dungeon Raid
Stock Up on Essentials
Before entering any dungeon, ensure you have food in your inventory—enough to restore your health several times over. Bring a sword (even a wooden one works initially), a pickaxe to mine ore and escape if needed, and a shield if you have one. Torches are critical: place them as you explore so you can find your way back.
Understand the Risks
Dungeons are dark and packed with hostile mobs. Monsters deal damage quickly, and fall damage from uneven terrain is a real threat. Never rush into a new chamber—peek around corners and assess enemy positions first.
Clear Strategically
Light up areas as you go. Kill mobs one or two at a time rather than engaging a group. Use high ground when possible—mobs struggle to reach you on elevated platforms. If you're overwhelmed, retreat to a lit area and regroup.
Collect Loot Carefully
Dungeons contain valuable items and rare materials. Open chests only when you're sure the area is clear. If your inventory fills up, drop less useful items to make room for treasure.
Know When to Leave
If your health drops below half, exit immediately. Survival is more important than any single loot run.
