Troubleshooting: Tree Not Falling Completely
Common Issues
Occasionally, a tree may not fall completely when you break a log with Timber Strike. This usually happens with unusual tree shapes or modded trees.
Solutions
Check your enchantment level:
- Ensure your axe actually has Timber Strike applied (check in the tooltip)
- Higher enchantment levels handle complex trees better
- If using a low level, try upgrading to a higher level
Verify tree structure:
- Some modded trees or custom structures may not be recognized as standard trees
- Try breaking a different log in the tree
- Ensure the tree is fully grown and connected
Manual cleanup:
- If a few logs remain, break them manually with your Timber Strike axe
- Leaves will still decay naturally
Axe type:
- Ensure you're using an actual axe (not a hoe or other tool)
- Any axe material (wood, stone, iron, diamond, netherite) works
When to Seek Help
If trees consistently fail to fall, check if other mods are interfering or if your mod version needs updating.
